Lockdown Fragments: A Poetry Chapbook
All through 2020, I watched in horror as freedoms were lost and people were exposed to inhumane conditions in the name of safety. I could not stay silent and spoke up in a way that is meaningful to me: poetry.
As a former English teacher and writer, writing poetry was the way that I express myself the best.
This small book of poems is focused on the human cost of the lockdowns to children, the elderly, and small businesses. A powerful and heartbreaking read.
